The title of the installation is taken from page 11, poem 2 in A CONEY ISLAND OF THE MIND, poems by Lawrence Ferlinghetti,

where he mentioned “...The title of this book is taken from Henry Miller’s INTO THE NIGHT LIFE. It is used out of context but expresses the way I felt about these poems

when I wrote them – as if they were, taken together, a kind of Coney Island of the mind, a kind of circus of the soul...”

ชื่อของงานภาพถ่ายจัดวางนี้มาจากหน้า 11 ของ บทกวีลําดับที่ 2 ซึ่งมีที่มาจากบทกวี A CONEY ISLAND OF THE MIND ของลอว์เรนซ์ เฟอร์ลิงเก็ตติ

ซึ่งเขากล่าวถึงที่มาว่า “...ชื่อของหนังสือเล่มนี้มาจาก INTO THE NIGHT LIFE หนังสือรวมข้อเขียนของเฮนรี่ มิลเลอร์ ซึ่งผม เอามาใช้โดยดึงมันออกจากบริบทเดิมของมัน

มันอธิบายถึงความรู้สึกที่ผมมีต่อบทกวีที่ผมเขียนมันขึ้นมาได้ดี ราวกับว่าพวกมันเป็นเหมือน เกาะโคนี่ย์ในใจ เป็นเหมือนละครสัตว์ให้กับจิดวิญญาณ...”
